Stage, Film & TV Actor (Mindhunter, X-Men United, The Good Wife, Person of Interest), Cotter Smith is a true master of the Active Analysis technique. He studied under both Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg, joining The Actor's Studio in 1980.

Cotter was one of the first to teach active analysis in the US at Carnegie Mellon and The New School for Drama. He now shares his approach with the UK acting scene as part of the Beyond Words Workshop.

Jason Wilson is an American actor, working in London. His 25-year professional acting career began in Chicago. He trained at The New School for Drama in New York City, where he received his MFA in Acting. Inspired by Cotter Smith, who has been his teacher, collaborator and dear friend for 15 years, Jason trains and educates in the Active Analysis Technique.

As a teacher, Jason specialises in Active Analysis, American Accent Coaching and Voice & Movement - for which he has tailor-designed a unique program to help discover, develop, and free a performer's body and voice. He is the founder of the Beyond Words Workshop.

Nataša Cordeaux is a London-based actor and filmmaker, trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her practice explores how voice, movement and improvisation can open up text and performance. She is part of the Beyond Words Workshop team, supporting its creative and promotional work.
